If you are coming from my first week of intermittent fast, then hello welcome back!
If this is the first blog post you see, you can read my first week here!
So, Let’s Dive in to my Second Week of Intermittent Fasting.
Beginning of Week 2: Monday to Wednesday
I am realizing that this may not be as effective if I’m not watching what I eat. With irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), if I’m not careful all of the time, then I am bloated and it takes away from the de-bloating effect of certain healthy lifestyles.
This week my goal is to really focus on watching everything that goes into my body. That means no onion, garlic, or dairy.
Also, I need to work harder on stopping my food intake at the appropriate time. I thought morning was hard but things have definitely taken a turn of events. Of course, I know that things happen and sometimes you end up eating supper at 10 pm. My goal is to limit the excessive snacking and try planning earlier meals.
Also, as a side thought, this experiment is making me realize that I need to exercise because I know that a great way to de-bloat is through working out. I plan on getting a gym membership and if not then I will work on doing 12 to 20 minute exercise routines at home.
Overall, so far my mornings have been much easier. However, I feel like it is taking away from my productivity at work. I begin work around 8 or 9 and I feel that beginning around 10 am my mind keeps looking at the clock to count down until I can eat!
End of Week 2: Thursday to Sunday
I would like to tap myself on the back because I have done fairly well. Aside from having to eat early once due to my schedule, I have stayed true to my window of eating and that of fasting.
I have been thinking about whether this lifestyle is for me and, though I have only given it two weeks, I have to say that I don’t think this works for everyone.
I think that your schedule and career have a massive influence on when you eat and so not everybody can be as flexible with their meals.
During my journey these two weeks, I have come across a new way of eating called Intuitive Eating. I think this may be a much better option for my schedule and my eating habits.
